10. Choosing your thoughts and language.

"A measure of mental health is the disposition to find good everywhere"  from Sir John Templeton (Golden Nuggets)

Well, at least to find good too, not only bad everywhere.

Language is like a railway: It restrains and lead us to rather pre-defined directions.
As language contains the past of the human history tends to be worse than our current experience. The English words about negative emotions are 5-10 times more than the English words about positive emotions. But positive emotions fit with better health , happiness, and higher frequency of the spins of electrons, protons, neutrons in our body, that is higher energy too. And higher energy fits  with more intelligent activity, thus better control of our social fate too.
It seems that old age, is inclined to prefer more positive emotions. Here is a video with a relevant research that seems not easy to believe:

The positivness or negativness  with which we assess the categories pas, Present, Future is not irrelevant. Here is another video about it:

Positivity or negativity of the language is not the only thing which is important in choosing our thoughts. Choosing our thoughts is essentially choosing our focus and attention. It is one level higher than reasoning itself. (as true organized reasoning maybe one level higher than emotions). Choosing and managing our focus and attentions in time, context, human environment, place etc is of paramount importance in self-discipline and in increasing our good fate, and the responsibility of ourselves. This is a different concept of self-discipline: Not our physical motions, not even our emotions and thoughts but primarily our focus. Attention maybe closer to the real deeper self than thoughts and emotions. And making a joke: We should always ask: is it the image that looks at me or me that looks to the image?
After choosing our attention then it follows to choose our thoughts. Andrew Carnegie was assuring Napoleon Hill  in the book "The wisdom of Andrew Carnegie as told to napoleon Hill "  that "Organized thinking leads to peace of mind and that form of permanent happiness which is known only to the man who keeps his mind fully occupied"

In more detail here is what Andrew Carnegie says about organized thinking in the same book( "The wisdom of Andrew Carnegie as told to Napoleon Hill " ):

The benefits of organized thinking are so numerous that it is difficult to decide where to begin or where to stop, but these are some of the more obvious advantages of this habit:
1) Organized thinking enables one to become the master of his  own mind. This he accomplished by training his faculty of will to control  his emotions, turning them on and off as the occasion may require.
2) Organized thinking forces one to work with definiteness of purpose , thereby enabling him to set up a habit that prohibits procrastination. Organized thinking is based on the controlled formation of thinking habits that are also related with emotional and action habits. From a certain perspective Self-discipline and organized thinking are synonymous!
3) It develops the habit of working and cooperating in groups with other people  with definite plans instead of blundering ahead by the hit or miss method.
4) It enables one to stimulate the subconscious  mind to greater action and more ready response, in the attainment of desired ends, instead of allowing the subconscious mind to respond to the "tramp" thoughts and destructive influences of one.s environment.
5) It develops self-reliance
6) It gives one the benefit of the knowledge , experience and education of others, through the medium of Alliance of Group  Mind, which is an important medium to coordinate group will and also invoke the Collective Infinite Intelligence, which has been used by all able thinkers. Organized thinking attracts energies and power that is channeled in the organized activities, while otherwise it would be a dangerous "mental explosive".
7) It enables one to convert his efforts on to greater material resources , larger income and wealth and by capitalization eventually  to financial freedom. Because organized mind can produce more than one that is not organized.
8) It develops the habit of accurate analysis, through which one may find the solution to his problems, instead of worrying over them.
9) It aids in maintaining sound health, because mind power that is organized and directed towards the attainment of both private and social  worthy and desirable good goals, it attracts and  involves positive emotions and has no time to be wasted in connection with self-pity or imaginary ailments. Idle minds for a long time, tend to develop ailing bodies.
10) Last but not least, organized thinking , as it functions  intensely but also knows how to periodically relax and seas activities , leads to peace of mind and that form of permanent happiness which is known only to the man that can keep his mind fully occupied.

Also according to Brian Tracy and the law of substitution, by organized thinking and action, we put in exile worries , fears and indulgence to  vicious cycles of negative thoughts and emotionality.
Of course peace of mind comes also when we feel that we accomplish gradually our true goals. And there minor and major goals in life. We might say that our existence has no other goal than to exist. Or that we may have many different goals, according to the scale of relevance in our existence. But one of the most beautiful and meaning goals in life is to develop more of our soul consciousness. So all other minor goals like social success, money, fame, knowledge , creativity etc are to serve this major goal of developing more of our soul consciousness

You are consciousness. Your body is in your consciousness, not the other way around--you are not consciousness inside of a body. consciousness has formed the body necessary for your needs and lessons while on earth. When you realize this you will find that you are no longer quite so subject to world beliefs that say you are at the mercy of your body.

Your whole world is also within your consciousness--the weather, friends near or far, family, beliefs. Everything exists in consciousness and nothing exists outside of consciousness. Each must ask; "What do I entertain in my consciousness? What beliefs, what concepts, what ideas, etc do I hold?"
Thoughts that pop into your head are impersonal until you claim them as yours. This is why there is no reason to believe you are a spiritual failure if some negative or even violent thought comes floating into your mind when you least expect it. The clearing process of the bodies within the consciousness often brings outgrown beliefs and thoughts to the surface. No need to react with shock or resistance, simply acknowledge them for what they are, giving them no power, and moving on.
Thoughts have only the reality and power they are given. The human mind can only draw on what is already a part of consensus consciousness--that which is already known. New ideas-- inventions, art, science, technology, and deep spiritual insights etc, must bubble up from deeper levels of creativity within where they are then brought into manifestation by the receiver and become part of consensus consciousness and available to all. This is how evolution takes place and how your every insight is adding to the resonance of an ascending world consciousness.
Many yet remain unaware of who and what they really are or that the energy they radiate effects those around them as well as adding to the universal energy of the planet as a whole. This is why it is important to be aware of your thoughts and beliefs or of thinking that your thoughts are hurting no one if you don't say them out loud.
You carry your state of consciousness wherever you go because consciousness is what you are. Your resonance can lift and open another who is receptive to it without your awareness or can cause someone to dislike you. Because energy seeks to align with like energy (oneness) it is important to keep yourself in compassion and not sympathy when helping those who may be drawn to your energy seeking help.
You are creators but have not known this. The consciousness of a sleeping mankind has for eons been forming the world in which you now find yourselves--consciousness manifesting as form and building upon itself to where the world is now. Through centuries of struggle and evolving awareness, mankind is now ready to move beyond the illusion.
