This is an old Scottish saying
Fighting what we do not know is not a good idea.
Sometimes just doing the positive thing that will make us understand and protect us is better than sending the bad word.

And as we are talking about Light and darkness..........

WE MUST AVOID THE TRAP OF THE DUALITY OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT, 
WE MUST NOT FORGET THAT INSTEAD OF DUALITY WE RATHER  HAVE 9 SIDES:

THE BAD, NEUTRAL AND GOOD LIGHT, 
THE BAD NEUTRAL AND GOOD DARKNESS 
AND 
THE BAD , NEUTRAL AND GOOD (GREY) SHADOW.
