17. Choosing and mastering your destiny:Making success a habit.

Probably the first factor in choosing and attaining the desired destiny, is  the written choice of our goals, and in particular our definite major goal.

But having goals is not enough. Goals may very well slip in to wishes rather than reality if we do not create plans to go from where we are to where we want to go. "Failing to plan is planning to fail" (Benjamin Franklin). And still goals plus plans are not enough if we do not take immediate action and conduct them. It is thoughtful action that will finally lead us to success.

Many authors and teachers of personal development (like Andrew Carnegie, Brian Tracy, Bill Williams etc) agree and recommend the following technique that may change our lives and bring success in pursuing our goals. This technique creates an almost obsessive and fruitful focus towards our desired goals. It is the daily meditation upon the long term major goal. We spend 30min to 1 hour every day, preferable in the morning before anything else, to ponder, speculate, contemplate, visualise, imagine, think and write about the long-term definite major goal and its sub-goals. This usually involves meditation to the divine oneness of Unlimited Intelligence which is somehow metaphysical. This meditation must lead to a writen improvement  of the plans towards the goals. So the "magic" is the creation of a daily improvement momentum (keisen) of the plans of the goals that goes together with taking action. (See post 58).
But even more create happiness from those small daily improvements, long before the happiness of the achievement of the final goal. In other words more of happily achieving   than eventual achievement happiness. To be sure that the daily improvement momentum is consistent and significant we must make it part of our own identity: To be who we are.
In addition we inspect our daily short term tasks in a written way. The daily tasks are preferably written in the night  just before we go to sleep, for the next day, so as to give the opportunity to the subconscious, to work on them and find unexpected good solutions and proper feelings for conduction.

We continuously control our destiny by the decisions we make about what things mean and what we will do next, during conduction of our plans or simply during every day life. And we do that by continuously assessing almost unconsciously our experiences. Nothing in life has meaning other than the meaning that we,ourselves give to it.
According to Tony Robbins  the subconscious mechanism with which we make these assessments is based on 5 elements:
1) The state we are in at the time of the assessment
2) The questions that silently we ask inside ourselves
3) Our values
4) Our beliefs
5) Our references (persons, experiences, observations, memories, quotes, etc)

The conduction and assessment rolls like an engine wheel : Plan---->Communicate---->Conduct and Act----->Report and Review----->Plan again. This wheel may be daily, weekly, monthly, quarter based, annually, or 5-6 years periodic. The periodicity of the wheel is best tuned to one of the 12 characteristic rainbow rhythms according to the law of rhythms and habits.

When we plan we must analyse our resources (desires, money, time, know-how, talents,  persons to cooperate, creative alternative etc) and devise new alternative plans and then chose the best alternative. But lack of resources should not limit or stop us.
All we need to have is basically a strong desire. Then according to Steven Scott (in his books "A millionaire's notebook" and "Simple steps to impossible dreams") we can even think as if "hiring" (actually synergising and partnering with) the necessary people that do have the money, know-how, talents, and time. Self-esteem, honesty and integrity is the key.The wheel of conduction as above and perpetual corrections to our plans and direction creates by  itself an optimal and continuously improving vehicle towards our goals and destiny.

Of course peace of mind , planetary prosperity  and happiness comes also when we feel that we accomplish gradually our true goals. And there minor and major goals in life. We might say that our existence has no other goal than to exist. Or that we may have many different goals, according to the scale of relevance in our existence. But one of the most beautiful and meaningful goals in life is to develop more of our soul consciousness. So all other minor goals like social success, money, fame, knowledge , creativity etc are to serve this major goal of developing more of our soul consciousness
