2. Existential Development

As existential developments is understood that quality and enhancement of consciousness and abilities that emerges after systematic self-awareness and analysis of our lives, situations , behaviour, values etc.
As the ancient Socrates was remarking, "non self-examined life is not worth living".
It is not only that our health and daily habits improve, not only our efficiency and success in our work and creative endeavors is increased, but also our intimate life acquires higher quality and value, and our impact in society is also of higher quality and value.
The value of personal development is by far higher that the education we get at high school, and by far higher that any number of University Diplomas, PhD's etc. Its potential is also of higher value to acquired wealth, and social honours, as wealth and social honours may be lost, but the propensities of the virtues of appropriate personal development can restore them.
There is no start date and end date of existential development. It is an on going art, and interplay of the immortal soul and our mortal personality, from childhood to deep old age.

The premises for an interest in personality fate development are:
1) One of the noblest interests in ones life is the interest to improve the experience of  life, and in doing so influence for the betterment of the experience of life of all other people too. We might call it the holy grail of the good life. It is a fundamental  desire that can be transformed in to many different specific desires. It may but also it may not involve improvement of standards of living.
2) There is opportunity to determine  what we will be and our life be , by far to a greater measure than what we usually think it is possible or feasible . So what  our self and our life will be in the future can be  more up to us that we think. The same somehow holds for our past and our present, or at least about our feelings and perception of it, although it is not easily accepted.
3) We can learn learn almost everything we need to learn (principles, critical skills etc) to become almost anyone that we want to become, or to achieve almost anything we want to achieve. There might be a few limitations, and most of them are on the inside rather that on the outside.

Of course peace of mind , planetary prosperity  and happiness comes also when we feel that we accomplish gradually our true goals. And there minor and major goals in life. We might say that our existence has no other goal than to exist. Or that we may have many different goals, according to the scale of relevance in our existence. But one of the most beautiful and meaningful goals in life is to develop more of our soul consciousness. So all other minor goals like social success, money, fame, knowledge , creativity etc are to serve this major goal of developing more of our soul consciousness

According to a very wise and ancient civilization, here is a list of  the evolutionary stages that self-development of a human being goes through  :

The process of miracles

The private space:

1) The Wandering
Where we come from, why, our purpose and gathering our "tools".

2) Initiation:
Preparing our own path, each one different and hopefully centering.

3) Honoring:
Understanding the Source of our creation. Recognizing the sacred in oneself.

4) Stating Intention: Realizing and acknowledging ones true purpose to create Self.

5.1) Surrender : Letting go of control to allow vulnerability. To learn what is already known.

5.2) Embrace our own hidden-self :
Walking into the unknown parts of Self. Being and becoming the Void.

6) Lighting the Flame in the Heart: Connecting to Self and finding meaningful, honest, ritual.

The public space:

7)  Transformation: Climbing the ladder of self-responsibility, to hold a vision of Being in One-ness, Being the vision that alters all perception.

8) Becoming Human: Empathy and compassion toward all. Being in truly responsible relationships.

9) Walking The Path: Integrating all of life's experiences. Being a teacher by Being.

10) Service: Discarding the illusion of separateness. Total approach to life in humility and joy.

11) Believing in  , honoring, and service to  the deeper Existence
Giving value and practice to  the Existence is the creation of Self.
